Surprise Call

Doug just called me. Totally out of the blue and unexpected. He said he heard Verticle Horizon playing on the radio and it reminded him of me and last summer when he was here. He hasn't called me like that in a while. Not during the day anyway when cell phone charges are highest. I still have hope for him. But whether my hope holds out until he figures things out for himself are another story. In any case, the call made me feel good. And a little sad. I miss him more all the time.
