Bored Bored Bored

It is so very slow here at work today and I am bored.

I have been reading some disturbing trends in the news lately. Yesterday I read about a 2nd grade substitute teacher (age 35) surfing for porn on a classroom computer while the kids were in class. The kids saw pictures and inappropriate content and told parents. The teacher has been fired.

This morning I read about an 11th grade assistant vice principal (age 35)who emailed nude pictures of himself to a 16 year old student. He emailed them from his home computer. The girl didn't tell, she happened to be looking at the pictures when her father walked in the room. She attempted to hide the pictures, but he forced her out of the chair and discovered several emails and pictures of the man on the computer. The guy has since resigned his position at the school.

I can understand the lure of p0rn. Hell I've downloaded it before. But I have never been tempted...have never even thought about teenagers or exposing teenagers to such content. It just really bothers me when people who are supposed to be edjucating our children are confusing them and tempting them with ideas that they are too young to even understand the consequences of.

I had crushes on teachers in high school. Yeah, I dressed provocatively. I had fantasies about them. But having sex with them wasn't part of those fantasies. I guess kids today have a lot more "knowledge" of sex and probably the experience to boot to think that they could handle a physical relationship with an adult. I dunno. It just creeps me out.
