The Establishment Sucks
Last week I sent in my financial aid for school. I declined the loans and asked only for the Pell Grant. Guess what? They said I declined everything. I mean it's no big deal and the $500 is not much, but it was assistance all the same. I suppose it will now go to someone who REALLY needs it, but damnit if I didn't call the school and say "can I do this?" They said "sure... just say you decline the loans but still wish to accept the grant." Duh... that's what I did.
